HII gas boosters 5G series description
High pressure gas boosters 5G series are ideal for gas charging of high and ultra-high pressure gas equipment or vessels flom low pressure sources.
They can also provide continious gas supply at relatively low flow rates.
Gas boosters 5G series are represented by 37 basic types with variety of modifications (at least 10 for each type).
The product line covers a wide range of operating pressures and allows you to solve multitude engineering tasks.
The ability to combine boosters (parallel, serial installation, and their combinations) significantly expands their application areas.
5G gas boosters main types

5G series gas boosters are represented by 6 main types:
- 5G-SS: single acting, single air drive;
- 5G-SD: single acting, double air drive;
- 5G-TS: two-stage, single air drive;
- 5G-DS: double acting, single air drive;
- 5G-TD: two-stage, double air drive;
- 5G-DD: double acting, double air drive;
Gas booster models, types and multibooster arrangements are selected by qualified specialists for each specific task.
Gas source types
HII gas boosters require minimum inlet gas pressure defined by booster type, discharge pressure, operating mode, and other factors.
Following gas sources can be applied:
1. Completely charged gas cylinders.
Best fit booster types: 5G-SS; 5G-SD; 5G-DS; 5G-DD.
5G-SS; 5G-SD boosters will maintain constant outlet pressure as the cylinder pressure decreases.
5G-DS; 5G-DD boosters will utilze inlet gas pressure and will provide the most efficient and cost effective gas compression.
The maximum safe inlet pressure for the booster types 5G-SS; 5G-SD; 5G-DS; 5G-DD is normally equal to the maximum safe outlet pressure. There are limitations for two-stage models.
Residual pressure in the gas cylinder is limited by booster model, outlet pressure and operating conditions.
1. Gas bottles with residual gas.
Best fit booster types: 5G-TS; 5G-TD.
Normally the minimum residual pressure in gas bottle is limited by 3-5 bar (50-70 psi).
The minimum cost-effectictive gas evacuation pressure is normally higher than minimum technically posiible gas evacuation pressure.
